Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of Work

ForgeWorks Home Repair (the "Contractor") will perform only the services specifically outlined in the written estimate or work order.

  • Changes: Any additional work requested during the project will be treated as a "Change Order" and may incur additional labor and material costs.

  • Hidden Issues: If "unforeseen conditions" (e.g., mold, electrical issues behind a wall, structural rot) are discovered, work will stop until a new price is agreed upon.

2. Payment Terms

  • Estimates: Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued.

  • Deposits: For projects exceeding $500, a deposit of 50% is required before work commences to secure your spot on the calendar.

  • Final Payment: Payment is due immediately upon completion of the job.

  • Late Fees: Payments not received within 7 days of completion will incur a late fee of $25 per week.

3. Materials

  • Markup: Materials purchased by the Contractor may include a 35% handling and delivery fee.

  • Client-Provided Materials: If the Client provides materials (e.g., a specific light fixture or faucet), the Contractor is not responsible for the quality, missing parts, or warranty of those items. If a client-provided part is defective, labor for the attempted installation is still billable.

4. Client Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth workflow, the Client agrees to:

  • Provide clear access to the work area.

  • Secure pets and keep children away from the work zone.

  • Identify the location of shut-off valves and breaker boxes.

  • Move fragile items or furniture away from the work area prior to arrival.

5. Cancellations

  • Notice: Please provide at least 24–48 hours' notice for cancellations.

  • Fees: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a "Trip Fee" of $100.

6. Warranty & Liability

  • Workmanship: ForgeWorks Home Repair provides a 1-year warranty on labor. This does not cover normal wear and tear, abuse, or neglect.

  • Exclusions: The Contractor is not liable for pre-existing damage or issues caused by the failure of products manufactured by third parties.

  • Liability: ForgeWorks Home Repair maintains General Liability Insurance for your protection.

7. Media Release

The Client grants ForgeWorks Home Repair permission to take "Before and After" photos of the work for promotional/portfolio use. Names and specific addresses will never be shared.
